Moe spent many years headlining a Branson theater and building a loyal following here, so folks are always excited when he returns, even if it’s just for a one-night-only concert. He’s enjoyed several hits on the country charts, including “Till I’m Too Old to Die Young,” “It’s a Cheating Situation,” "You Haven’t Heard the Last of Me,” “Bandy The Rodeo Clown,” and “Americana,” the song that graced his Branson marquee - it’s still the name of the theater that now hosts popular shows like Raiding the Country Vault, Janice Martin’s Cirque Show, and Broadway to Buble starring George Dyer. Moe Bandy was named Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music (ACM;) he also received an ACM award for Song of the Year for “It’s A Cheatin’ Situation.”
Joe Stampley’s solo work in the music industry produced a list of Top Ten songs that features “Take Me Home to Somewhere,” “I’m Still Loving You,” “I’m Gonna Love You Back to Loving Me Again,” and “Do You Ever Fool Around.” Stampley topped the charts with “All These Things” and “Roll On Big Mama,” and first hit the music scene as a rock band frontman, enjoying a #1 hit with “Soul Song,” with his group, The Uniques. Stampley’s musical output became so impressive, he ended up being Billboard’s singles-artist of the year in 1976, the year he boasted eight singles on the Billboard country chart.
Frequent collaborators, Moe Bandy & Joe Stampley, are probably best known and loved for their 1979 "Just Good Ol' Boys” - together, they were recognized by the Academy of Country Music for Vocal Duo of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year, and by the Country Music Association for Vocal Duo of the Year in the early 80s.
