Branson’s Samson Behind the Scenes Tour - just in case you’ve ever wondered “how in the world does this all work?” The production of Samson, another epic tale from the bible that Sight & Sound Theatres brings so vividly to life, takes a lot of behind the scenes activity to make it all happen, fortunately, they offer guests a chance to see all that backstage work in action. Show performers transform into the role of tour guide to lead guests on a fascinating 60 minute journey behind the curtain, exploring all the areas that are usually off limits to all but theater employees. You’ll discover just what it takes to keep a production running smoothly, including making sure that the enormous 20,000 square foot stage, one that wraps around the audience on three sides, has the incredible one million watts of light and 60,000 watts of sound Samson requires! Vital nerve centers exist backstage to make sure that everything happens on cue, including the gorgeous animals, so loved and well-cared for, getting to the stage on time. You’ll be amazed by the artisans who craft the breathtaking set pieces, and those who create and maintain the astonishingly beautiful and authentic costumes required to make every bible character truly come to life on stage in every unforgettable performance.

Tour tickets are available as an add-on when purchasing your tickets for the show.
Tours are usually available from mid-March through mid-December.
Your Behind the Scenes Tour will take approximately one (1) hour and typically takes place at 1:00 p.m., however, scheduled times may vary.
This is a walking tour; please make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes, and that everyone in your party is able to easily walk from one area to the next.
Your tour guide will be a Sight & Sound performer, so take advantage of this rare opportunity to ask what it’s really like to appear in one of the theatre’s epic bible productions!
