Mom, dad, and six siblings have each mastered one or more instruments, including violin, cello, piano, mandolin, viola, and the upright bass. And the music they deliver? In a word...phenomenal! You’ll be treated to hit songs that showcase their incredible vocals, along with patriotic numbers, Irish melodies, bluegrass and gospel favorites, as well as classical numbers and, of course, that phenomenal fiddle playing -- together, it creates the type of show you won’t find a whole lot of in Branson, let alone delivered with undeniable perfection...pure joy to the ears!
Folks in the Christian music industry have heaped well-deserved praise and awards on the Johnson’s, including Best Music Video at the Christian Worldview Film Festival, and festival wins at the Glory Reelz Christian Film Fest and the Great Lakes Christian Film Festival. Not ones to rest on their laurels, the members of The Johnson Strings never stop working on their craft -- they spend countless hours practicing their instruments, learning new music, and honing those pitch-perfect harmonies, the kind that only seem possible amongst family members. Making their shows feel even more special is the small, intimate setting where they perform -- having just a tad more than 100 seats, you’ll be thrilled to discover that no bad seat exists at the Majestic Theatre!
In their Branson show, The Johnson Strings play everything from everyone’s favorite fiddle tune, “Orange Blossom Special,” to patriotic numbers that bring audiences to their feet, including “Stars and Stripes Forever.” These kids were obviously born with the ability to make beautiful music together, but to make sure their performances would be awe-inspiring, their folks had them all classically trained in the Suzuki Method. And, apparently, the talent doesn’t begin and end with their music; one of the girls is an accomplished baker (her baked goods are available in the concession area,) another sibling has her own portrait photography service, and uses her hands for other artistic applications, including painting, drawing, and sculpting, and one of the boys does web design and marketing.
